Fuel Pump Test Bench Common Fault Repair

Regardless of the type of fuel injection pump test rig, the drive system, the airframe, the electrical control box, the display, the oil pan system, and the fuel supply system all exhibit one or the other faults, requiring regular inspections and timely maintenance. This article focuses on the common faults and maintenance methods of the injection pump test bench for DC motor SCR speed control system.

1. Spindle speed instability

Transmission belt specifications are not correct, or belts are worn, oil is dirty, looseness is adjusted too loosely, or belt screws are loose. The hydraulic transmission system lacks oil, leaks oil, and has air. The speed-changing carrier chain wheel bracket is loose and the transmission wheel chain is slack. Voltage instability.

2. Instrument pointer swing or inaccurate

The instrument itself has a problem. The tachometer swings and the spindle speed is unstable. The oil pressure gauge swings, and the oil pressure gauge is connected to the pipeline shortly. There is no damping device and no damping effect. The diesel tank is short of oil, leaks oil, and there is air in the oil path.

3. The oil pan is not sensitive to the action of the micro switch. Electromagnet operation failed. The transmission rods do not cooperate well and the motion is retarded.

4. Miscounting the dial

The dial did not go to the correct position during operation. The dial fixing screw is loose and the dial is misaligned with the drive shaft.

5. Test bench low pressure oil and high pressure oil supply, low oil supply pressure

(1) Fuel shortage in the diesel tank, loose fittings, cracked or wrinkled tubing, leading to air intake, oil leakage, and obstruction.

(2) The position of the fuel switch is incorrect.

(3) The test bench uses a low-pressure fuel pump and a high-pressure fuel injection pump to wear out severely.

(4) The mechanical impurities and the cleaning cloth, cotton yarn, etc., have serious pollution, and the oil circuit blockage is not smooth, such as plugging of the diesel filter, plugging of the diesel filter, plugging of the oil pump inlet port steering pipe bolt filter, and the like.

(5) The low pressure oil valve has strict sealing of the pressure limiting valve, the locking nut is loosened, the adjusting screw is buckled, the elasticity of the pressure regulating spring is reduced or broken, the valve is cushioned by mechanical impurities on the valve seat, and the valve and the valve seat are seriously worn out. .

6. Inaccurate metering

(1) Outflow of diesel oil, deformation of the cut-off oil pan, and severe abrasion of the cut-off oil pan shaft and hole, causing rattle.

(2) The splash of diesel oil and the mist eliminator (also called the mist eliminator) are poor in mist removal. There are splashes in the upper and lower oil outlets of the injection nozzle assembly.

(3) The flow rate of the oil outlet under the mist eliminator is variable. In the case that the fuel injection volume of the fuel injection pump does not change, the flow rate of the mist eliminator is not uniform in the same time, that is sometimes more or less, indicating that the mist eliminator is There are active mist-reducing fillers. During the fuel injection process of the injectors, the position of the moving fillers changes, creating different blocking conditions for the oil flow.

(4) Each high-pressure oil pipe, injector, together with the injection nozzle and mist eliminator, under different conditions, the overall flow uniformity rate is too large; high pressure oil pipe aperture, wall thickness, length, inner hole finish, joints Diameter reduction and bending are different; the nozzle body is not properly matched with the nozzle assembly.

7. Fuel is not clean

(1) The filter element, filter cleaner and strainer are seriously contaminated.

(2) The diesel tank cleaning and precipitation oil is not timely.

The solution is: open the fuel tank port, remove the filter tube, suck out some fuel inside the fuel tank, leaving about 30 L of fuel in the box. The cleaned compressed air pipe is inserted into the bottom of the fuel tank from the filling nozzle, and the fuel at the bottom of the fuel tank is blown at a suitable pressure so that it can be turned and cleaned. After cleaning the fuel tank, clean the filter tube of the refueling nozzle.

8. Pump body jitter or noise

When the fuel injection pump is running, the pump body generates a chattering phenomenon or emits a lot of mechanical noise. This is mainly due to the fact that the bracket does not clamp the injection pump or the spindle of the test stand is not concentric with the camshaft of the injection pump.

Keyway drive wear is serious, excessive shaking. Loose bolts in bolted devices. The camshaft of the injection pump is not concentric with the spindle of the test bench, mainly due to the worn and incorrectly installed clamps.

The solution is: tighten the fastening screws around the chuck plate, adjust the concentricity of the pump shaft and the drive shaft; check whether there is friction between the chuck plate and the safety cover; if so, adjust the two properly. Between the gaps.
